This has always been a labor of love. We see that we are in the privileged position of having access to certain texts and technologies to make those texts more available, and so we are compelled to share the Dharma as best we can. As such, we have always focused on the work first, and funding second, and in that way have always raised donations on a project-by-project basis, and we do not have any seed funding or anything like that which we can use as a baseline. Ideally we would like to be able to have a small seed fund, which would allow us to focus on the work of any project without simultaneously being concerned about funding that project. However for now we will happily take any donations toward the work we do, either to a specific project or as a general donation to the publishing group.
It should be clearly stated that none of those involved with this enterprise receive any money from this work. Every single rupee donated goes into the work. The vast majority of donations go directly toward printing costs, with delivery/shipping costs coming in (a distant) second. The few other miscellaneous costs toward which donations may go include travel expenses for book distribution and so forth, but these are so few they are a drop compared to printing expenses, and usually we often choose to pay out of pocket, or make these donations, ourselves. We take no overhead or administrative costs, or anything like this. Again, we do this work because we want to do it, and because we think everyone deserves access to the Dharma.
We have no active projects at the moment, but you are welcome to make a donation to the publishing group which will be contributed to the next project we undertake. You can click the PayPal donation button below to do so. We do not have tax-exempt status so unfortunately your donations cannot be counted as charitable donations on your annual taxes. For the sake of transparency, any donations made through PayPal are processed through a (private) bank account that one of the publishing team members holds in the USA.
